Kikki K Pop-up
Before landing their first store in Europe, kikki K wanted to greet London with an experiential pop-up showcasing their Swedish design, stationary and Kristina (Kikki) Karlson’s journey.
Underpinned by the concept of ‘storytelling through stationary’, we created moments of narrative throughout the space making a rich, engaging and exploratory customer journey.
Central to this was a paper-craft landscape telling the story of how kikki K came to be and their ambitions for the future. The scene is bought to life and the story told through projection mapped animations complete with narration from Kristina herself.
The linear narrative sweeps around the canvas, weaving digital media around the physical model and highlights details to create a more intimate experience than one might expect from an installation of such scale.
Other moments of storytelling include a dramatic ‘windswept journal’ sculpture, a replica of Kristina’s desk-space and eight bespoke paper models (created by acclaimed paper artist LYDIA SHERRIFF) interspersed within the product.
