Digital Facade
Originally commissioned by Mediazest to realise digital solutions for Godiva’s expanding retail offer, we wanted to demonstrate how digital technologies could behave as a finish in the architectural palette. The result was a 14 meter LED Facade that wrapped around the building with bespoke, site-specific content that I designed and produced.
Rather than traditional, noisy retail messaging, the concept was to use the product to create an ambient evolving environment inviting guests to stop, stare and reflect in the space.
With such an enormous canvas, I was adamant we use real product to retain a sense of realism and detail adding to the hypnotic visuals when blown up at scale. We managed to avoid using any CGI, shooting everything in camera using an ultra slow motion phantom 4K.
