Augmented reality carousel

Ericsson, Mobile World Congress 2019

Ericsson challenged Jack Morton to bring to life the complex world of ‘Industries & manufacturing in the age of 5G and IoT’ for Mobile world congress 2019.

Our solution was an augmented reality experience built around a kinetic carousel of 3D-printed objects, showcasing a scattershot of case studies and technologies whilst retaining a sense of charm and intrigue.

Animations tracked and mapped around the physical models augmenting them with short narratives that physically present themselves to you as the carousel spins. The variety of content and a layered approach to storytelling allowed guests and staff to explore across different levels, engaging with a usually dense subject in a playful and rewarding way.

Part of this project was also to present to the King of Spain and prime minister Pedro Sánchez at the event – Apparently king Felipe liked it.
